Rupes Backing Plate

After last night’s Extreme Makeover I had some messages with questions about what pads would fit on the Rupes Big Foot 21 which has a 6” backing plate .So when I got home from work I wanted to put together some pictures showing how some pads sit on the backing plate .For this write I will be using the Rupes pad two 6.5 Inch LC Hydro Tech pads a Cyan and a Tangerine Two Meguiar’s Micro Fiber pads one six inch the other a 5.5 inch pad .

Yes that can be done but from what I've read and from what Kevin Brown has mentioned using the Micro Fiber pads with a 5.5 you get better support at the edge of the pad .I also planed on checking that out next trip to AG since we used both the 15 and the 21 machines last night. At this point their is a ton of options.
