Rupes Mark 1 LHR15 question on rubber top mount

I have a Rupes LHR 15ES Mark 1 and it is a great machine.
Is it possible to add the rubber resting plate from the Mark II to my original? This seems like a great feature and would help when laying the unit down in between usage.
