The Rupes S.p.A. UHS system might be the best overall one step correction/polish setup that I have used. This four year old BMW E30 zinnoberrot respray is on the soft side and most of the options I had before required a finishing polish step to remove micro-marring or haze, and had other side effects such as product dusting, short work time, or difficulty removing.

I used the Rupes LHR 21ES polisher machine with its famous 21mm throw, 6" Rupes UHS pad, and Rupes UHS compound. One of the best perks of the Rupes 21 is that little downward pressure is needed to achieve good results. I used just enough downward pressure to control the machine. First pass was on lowest speed possible to simply spread the UHS compound, then used speed 4.5 on the next couple passes before finishing with speed 3.5 on the final pass.

This system is designed for harder clear coats including ceramic clears to be able to have a decent amount of cut with a wax-ready finish. Some softer or more finicky paints such as BMW jet black can still require a finishing polish step. Rupes UHS is designed to cut, finish, not dust, have a long working time, and be easy to remove, and it did not disappoint. They also claim it doesn't leave behind fillers or oils. Working time was as long as I needed, there was no dust, and it was super easy to remove. The only negative was that it likes to splatter some product, but got better as I tinkered with my approach to initially spreading it out, but unlike most splattered product, was super easy to remove. After about 6 passes, it removed all but the deepest defects, but finished wax-ready on this paint. However, even the deepest defects were diminished as the process rounded the edges to make them less noticeable. The polished hood was then topped with Son1c Wax Phoenix wax.

NOTE: Photos are filter free but unfortunately Facebook's compression degrades them badly.

TLDR: Rupes UHS system works as advertised and I wish it came out years ago.
