RV Detailing help

Really need asistance on the process of detailing one of those big 50 foot motorhomes i dont know if i should just do a basic wash clay and wax. Please any advise on what process and product i should use to clean one of these bad boys and what would be a good price to do one of these details just the exterior. its in very good shape its only 6 years old.
 
Whats the make and model of the motor home? This will help for the size / paint type. If it is fiberglass with vinyl stripes? Full body paint?

If you don't want to remove any defects you can just apply a wax like Collinite for long durability. Or you could use an AIO product like Poorboys Polish with Sealant, Megs #66, etc. for a quick polish and protection all in one. Get a step ladder and a PC. Are you going to be polishing the wheels as well?
 
I would recamend a One step product i like Poli-Seal but you could also just wax if you would like my suggestion would be Collonite (SP).. But that alll depends on your paint and such as said above
 
all i know is that its a class A winabego i think its 35ft and its got the designs on the sides ive never detailed one of these but i did this guys car and he wants this done now just trying to research my best approach. would clayig be necesary. and yes im doing tires and all exterior
 
and yes im going to use a PC for wax aplication and buff off by hand. i want to get this done before the heat really kicks in because i have nothing big enough to detail this under for shade and to keep it cool

:iagree: and Poli-seal by itself is fine IMO.
 
Should i be looking at 2 days on this or just one LONG day
 
just a simple wash and wax really shouldnt be to bad...i would say get up bout 7 and you could knock it out in one day for sure
 
Well then for a simple wash and wax along with tires chrome etc does 150-200$$ sound fair or is that pricey
 
Haven's no you should be chargeing $550 minum at least. unless in your area they don"t no nothing about detailiing. Good Luck!!
 
It's not really that bad guys. I can do them by myself in less than 6 hours. Just wash it with a high-quality wash brush first. Remember, it has windows so you're going to loose those areas when it comes to waxing. I would use either Poli-Seal or Poorboy's PwS. PwS is my favorite and seems to give longer durability. I usually come back and wax the lower areas and front with 845.

Just break into sections and you will see just how easy and profitable RV detailing can be!
 
Ya so what about Max Wax thats the wax i currently have im going to apply with pc wipe off by hand and should i worry about all the graphics on the sides or just wax right over them. This is for a buddy of mine so i dont want to charge him out the rear. I want to deleiver a good detail at a cheap price for him so i was thinking i might just estimate 200$ and if it takes me longer than 6 hours ill charge more.
 
MAX WAX IS A GGOD PRODOUCT,BUT IT ALL DEPENDS WHAT CONDITION THE PAINT IS IN. i WOULD USE A ONE STEP PRODUCT LIKE POLIE SEAL OR PB.THAT WAY YOUR SERVICE WILL LAST!! GOOD LUCK
 
Poorboy's EX Sealant with Carnauba is this what you are refering to. Im sorry for alll the questios but i want to make sure i do this right because i know its going to be different than your average car detail.
 
I can go around my RV (38 footer) in less than 4 hours just waxing. Washing will take another hour as will polishing metal and doing the glass. It's not that hard if you have the right tools, ie- platform and machine. A step laddar would work but going up and down the steps aren't that fun. If the finish is really oxidized (quite possible with the fiberglass) you may want to use a chemical polish and then end up with Collinite. Poorboy's PwS may do the trick though -- it is a great paint cleaner/sealant all in one. No need to clay...
