Greetings from Texas!
Ryobi makes some innovative products that can easily be adapted for car detailing use. I own the 18 volt One+ system. Drill/driver, flashlight, tire inflator and leaf blower. I like the leaf blower for it's multifunctional use. I use it to blow excess water out of my car's nooks and crannies as well as it's intended usage as a leaf blower.
About the only problems I have with the system are the batteries. Relatively short run time, even after reconditioning, life span of 2-3 years max, and batteries must be totally depleted before charging to avoid 'memory' issues.
I want to upgrade to the Lithium Ion batteries but am dismayed by the prices. Holy Smokes, $30 for the charger alone! Compact twin pack batteries are $100! Amazon and eBay prices are not any better, either.
Man, I gotta win the TX lottery! LOL Not only can I get all the Lithium Ion batts I want, but I can probably buy out PBMG and pay to have Nick and Mike Phillips detail my car for me. And possibly buy a different car for each day of the week. Wouldn't that be a kick in the head!
But then reality kicks in. *sigh*
Happy Detailing, everyone!
