Or direct me to a thread lol

Whats best for DA?

Looking for something that doesnt dust, and is easier to work with that M105

Also maybe a basic polish, and an AIO

Thanks!

You will see some dust, not alot, but the technology is different that Megs. Megs uses non-diminishing abrasives and Menzerna uses diminishing abrasives.

Try the ceramiclear polishes, like SIP and 085rd and you will find why so many love Menzerna.

I've used pf2500 with great results topped with collinite 845 (have 4500 waiting.........) no dusting

Good job Nick, I'm looking for Mike's feedback on Menzerna and my next purchase from AG will be to load up my arsenal(as Mike would say) and I've never worked with Ceramiclear or Menzerna yet.
If I have my info right, M105 does not contain Diminshing abrasives, but Ultra Compound does. UC has been a game changer for me so far.

I used Menzerna Fast Gloss Compound (FG-400) Menzerna SIP (1500) for the first time last night, I have to say very little dusting. I was really Impressed with the Menz. I topped it off with wolfgang sealent 3.0 I would recommend any Menzerna products.

I agree. My M105 sits on the shelf, while the Ultimate Compound is constantly in use

I have a 2012 tundra, Meg's Mf kit with D300 and 301 did this.

Tonight I got out with a blue CCS LC pad and used Menz 4500 with a few quick passes and it did this.

I was told my paint is very soft so if course 105, 205, UC, 300, and 301 may work on many other rides but it didnt mine. I am going to be ordering Menz products tomorrow for sure.

I am glad that some one has asked this question. I only use Menzerna products!

So I will start with what they can do and how they work.
Being DAT they really do well at finishing out great. If you are into one stepping it, Menzerna is for you! I love DAT polishes because you physically see the polish breaking down from a white/grey paste, to a clear oily substance on the paint.

Now when it comes to your machine. DA, forced rotation, rotary, these polishes are compatible with all and outstanding results can be achieved.

Menzerna Polishes are great on both ceramiclears and acrylic clears. Only difference is, acrylics tend to take a less aggressive product.

I will give you a run down here on my experience with these products:

PG-1000: As far as a compound goes, this stuff cant be beat. Although I do not like it very much do to the fact it is more aggressive than I need quite often. It also requires a polishing step after, the paint will be hazed.

FG-400: Probably my favourite compound on the market due to the fact during its cutting phase, it is very aggressive and can polish almost anything out, then it gets a tad more gentle allowing it to finish out like a polish. This is great at one stepping, but on some softer paints, a more gentle combination is required. I buy this by the gallon

IS-1500: It is an incredibly strong and aggressive polish. I have used it in place of a compound in many cases. This polish will eat through 1500 grit sanding marks and really shines with the Orange pad.

PF-2500: Great all round polish and very powerful. Many times when teamed with an orange pad it will cut out 2000 grit sanding marks. On a white pad, it is my go to one-stepper for both ceramiclears and acrylics.

SF-4000: I use this as my jeweling polish and my final step polish for pretty much everything. I find it works best with white, red, and gold pads

SF-4500: This is my favourite polish expect for one thing, AG does not sell them in Gallon size! I find even though this is a nano polish and has very fine abrasion levels, it still has a decent cut to it. Especially with a white pad, you can use it to remove light swirls and marring. For two-stepping, I go FG-400 -> SF4000 (only because AG doesnt sell it bulk!)
Here is what it can do on a white pad.

Finishing Glaze: I actually bought this by accident and decided to try it out. I am not a glaze guy, I feel it is cheating tbh, but I actually really like this. I recommend it after 4000/4500, it adds a touch more gloss and when finished with a wax, its like a mirror on any colour paint.

Power Lock: I use this as my base paint sealant in my Level 1 & 2 packages. I like this more than WDGPS because its a little thicker, making it easier to apply, and also I find it is more durable. I makes things really look good.

CL: Now I have never used this. I am not a fan of liquid carnubas, but from the results I have seen online, it looks great. Although I wont comment on it too much due to the fact I havent used it.

Now I know I missed a couple in there, but I am listing what I use on all cars. Everything from single stage classics (polishing lacquer is a reaaaaaaally hard task), to super soft acrylic clears on Infinitis, and tough as nails ceramiclears on Mercs.

Hope this school'd you ;)

Just used FG-400 with a LC blue hybrid pad on a Flex 3401 - finished out LSP ready - great stuff & leaves the paint super glossy. A would strongly recommend giving this product a try!!

Andr3wilson,

What would you recommend for a 2013 Phanton Black Audi Q5? Im planning to do the first detailing after its first week out of the dealer. The paint has a few minor swirls from the dealer but nothing to bad.

I'm planning to start with Menz SF4000 with on white pad. The other option I have is using SIP1500 with a white pad if the first option doesn't remove the minor swirls.

To the OP sorry to hijack your thread for a minute.

Edgar

Well new Audis (german cars in german) have the tough as nails ceramiclear.

For minor dealer swirls 4000/4500 will work great on a white pad! I find IP-1500 is very aggressive and shouldn't be needed for light swirl removal. If anything I would use it for spot swirl removal for deeper ones. What LSP are you going to use?

Thanks Andr3wilson. Im planning to use WGDGPS 3.0 and top it off with Fuzion after it cures.
