Hi guys! I did a one step correction on a Scion FR-S this weekend. It had moderate defects but the paint was very soft and easy to correct. I didn't take as many photos as I usually do for this job so I'll keep this post short.

I gave the car my typical wash, Iron X, and clay decontamination and got to work.

I took on the job with my Flex 3401, white Lake Country Hybrid foam pads, and Optimum Hyper Polish. I switched to 4 inch white Lake Country foam pads for the bumpers and used my PE8 with 2 inch pads in some of the trickier areas. Some spots had some deeper scratches where I used orange Hybrid pads first, but most of the correction was done with the white pads as the paint was pretty soft.

After correcting I gave the car 2 wipe downs with CarPro Eraser and applied CQuartz UK. Trim and plastics were coated with CarPro DLUX. Wheels were coated with GTechniq C2V3 and glass was coated with GTechniq G1 Clear Vision Smart Glass. Tires were dressed with Meguiar's D170 Hyper Dressing.

After checking for high spots, I threw on a coat of Reload and brought it outside to further inspect my results.

Customer was very happy upon pickup.

Well that's all I've got from a busy weekend. Thanks for looking!

Looks great. The more I use hyper polish the more I like it. Do you use a damp MF to remove it like the directions say?

Thanks! Yes I like to spritz my towel with distilled water. I find this helps in removing the leftover residue from the polish. I've gone through so many bottles of this stuff. It's definitely one of my favorite polishes. Very versatile. You would think it's a heavy cut compound the way it removes defects with a cutting pad.

It looks great. I am new to detailing and was wondering what you used on the tail lights to remove the scratches and what can be put on the lenses afterward to help prevent future scratches.

Thanks. I machine polished them using a Flex PE8 with orange foam cutting pads and Optimum Hyper Polish. You shouldn't have to worry about future scratching as long as you exercise proper washing and drying technique.

Amazing work as usual Haris!!! That FR-S looks sweet.

You achieved great correction for a 1 step detail. How long did this job take you?

Thanks guys. I'd say it took around 10-12 hours.

Beautiful. Always enjoy seeing your work.

Glass coating. Not going to lie - I'm intimated by these products; afraid that I might screw up and never gets it right.

I see you've used Hyper Dressing for the tires. Where does this product places on your dressing scale?

Off-topic - Looks like a very nice place in a pleasant neighborhood. How's the weather over there? Almost always damp/foggy here. And this is supposed to be one the sunshine state. Microclimate.... Gotta love it. lol

Thanks buddy. G1 is pretty easy to use as it comes with an included residue remover. I just check my work twice and make sure I don't miss anything or leave any high spots. I like Hyper Dressing. It's very similar to CarPro PERL from what I've experienced and you can dilute it which is a big plus. As for the weather, it's not so bad in Texas right now. Very pleasant. Now if only there was something I could do about all this god forsaken pollen

awesome job on being able to capture swirls on a white car, thats always difficult for me to do
