if you haven't already seen it go to the Scion website and checkout the new FR-S sports car. Thing is SHARP!!!

Website???

If you haven't seen one in person yet you're behind. A lot smaller than what I expected them to be.

I get that it's a "fun to drive" car but its too bad they're so slow.

Very nice indeed. I believe someone on here got a chance to detail one these and made a write up.

Its quite wierd for two seperate manufacturers to share the same architecture ... Scion and Subaru for this model. One being more upscale. It will be interesting to note which one sells better for basically the same ride.

Fun to drive doesn't even describe it. I got to auto-x one!!! omg can you say a comfortable gokart lol. But it's handling almost makes up for its lack of power. I'd say with some good tires, suspension and a driver you could take a stock mustang in auto-x.

Would I ever buy one? Probably not just because I have 260 to the wheels in my Z and with my current setup it feels quite comfortable in the corners.

Toyota owns part of Subaru, and the car was jointly developed. It happens a lot. Ever hear of Geo? Mostly re-badged Isuzus. Ford re-badged a lot of Mazdas over the years before they sold most of their share of Mazda ownership.

Small and slow? I think you miss the point. It is intended to be a return to the concept of a small lightweight low-priced rear-drive car. For $25K with the 200hp 2.0 flat four it will be a tuner's dream, plenty of room for either turbo or supercharger under the hood. It is not meant to be a Corvette, Camaro, or Cobra/Mustang competitor.

If thats aimed in my direction you should have taken my statement at face value. Never said anything negative about the car. I like it. But yeah. Its too bad that its slow. As you pointed out, a quality FI kit would solve that issue but then you're in the $30k price range, and there are other very good RWD cars for $30k.

Ill get one. Even though i have cars that are more powerful. Will be placing my order later
