Scratches-damage in/on interior trim

Good morning,

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this but I just wanted confirmation before I tell my friend she's SOL. Via the pic, is there anything that can be done with this? SOrry, pic isn't the best in the world.

I can only think of some type vinyl / trim coating. Probably won`t fix it but maybe hide some of the scratch....
