Hi guys,

So I've ceramic coated my car just before winter. I guess daily abuse in cold snowy weather puts wear and tear onto the ceramic coating. Now when I wash my car, I see some regular scuff marks. Is there a way to replenish the ceramic coating to get rid of the scuff marks without polishing everything off and start from scratch? Any products you guys recommend? The ceramic coating is still there, the water still slides off like butter, the paint is still smooth, but I want to get rid of the annoying scuff marks.

Thanks in advance.

CarPro Essence Plus is designed specifically for this.w

The only thing is what exactly is this scuff? Did it penetrate through the coating or is it marring of some sort? With Essence Plus being non abrasive you will get filling action versus correction and Essence Plus will fill minor defects. It is recommended to use it with a soft finishing pad or a carpro gloss pad.

Awesome! Thanks guys!

Yeah, scuff marks like a shirt/pants brushing through the paint surface. So pretty much haze marks, but not a scratches or swirls from improper washing techniques, etc.

The haze marks you might be able to hand polish off without taking off the entire coating.

MIke Phillips posted an article about how to remove “high spots” from ceramic coatings. You could use the same method for small haze marks. Essentially, polish a small area with a finger pad to remove the defect. Use eraser or ipa to clean, then re apply coating to that area. May not be a viable option if there are a lot of defects.

Here is an example of marring that was “repaired” using essence plus
