Someone bumped into my car today and scuffed up my bumper real bad! No note, or contact info was left. I'm sure I'll be able to remove about 80% of the damage with the PC but a couple spots on my bumper are down to the primer about the size of a quarter. I have plenty of touch up paint to cover these spots. Is there a method of correcting this damage with out having to hire someone to paint my bumper. For example, paint ->sand -> polish -> paint -> sand -> polish, until you get the surface you want. It's a black car.
Sorry for what happened...I hate people who are inconsiderate. THey're too scared to leave their info and take responsibility. As for your touch up process, well I haven't had experience so I can't help you there. Hopefully someone chimes in
I'm no expert on touch up paint but what I have done is in this sequence, Paint-paint-paint-sand-compound-polish. I keep layering the paint until it is higher than the surrounding paint in good condition and then take it back down. So far it's turned out good.
