Customer found me online in searching for a local detailer to restore the finish on his 96 Lexus LS400.

The car had been previously detailed by another local company that the owner was not happy with. The other detailer left some holograms and lots of splatter all of the place.

After having gone to the owners home and did a test spot for him he decided that a 2 step correction was to be done. He left me the vehicle for 3 days to ensure I had plenty of time to complete the detail.

All in all I spent about 19 hours (including interior detail) to complete.

Products used:

DP Xtreme Foam - In two bucket wash and foam cannon
Dawn - in wheel bucket and foam cannon
Kleen APC - diluted 8:1 - used for interior cleaning
Megs Super degreaser - diluted 4:1 - used for tires and wheel wells
Iron-X - used for rims and paint decontamination
ONR - diluted to clay lube strength
Megs Window Cleaner
M105
M205
Menzerna Powerlock
Wolfgang Fuzion
Eraser
303 Aerospace - to dress interior
Pinnacle Black Onyx tire gel
3M Painters Tape

Equipment used:

3 - 5 gallon buckets
Karcher Pressure washer
Foam cannon attachment
Various Brushes - raceglaze XL brush, various sized raceglaze brushes, tire brush, wheel brush, wheel well brush
Various MFs
Chenille wash mitt
Flex PE 14
PC 7424xp
LC wool pad - for heavy cutting areas
LC Orange pad - for overall compounding
LC white pads - for polishing
LC blue pads - for applying sealant and wax
Kobalt Halogen lights

Great work as usual and I'm loving the 50/50's. You should send this link to the customer.

Tremendous work. I just sold my 1995 LS 400 so I am very familiar with this car. You did a heck of a job. How long did that take?

Great work Jason! Like night and day.

Great video!

When all said and done about 19 hours. I took my time since i had it for 3 days.

Nice older Lexus. That was a great turnaround and the green paint looks new after you got all the holograms out. Nice work!

The difference in gloss on the car is very noticeable! Those wheels sure came out nice as well. Very nice work.:props:

I just made a mess.............

Well done!!!

LOL Thanks!

Shows just what a difference a true detailer makes. Great job!

Thanks!

Yeah the wheels came out better than I expected. I polished them up with Optimum Metal Polish, and some of the stubborn areas received P21s metal polish. Over all I am extremely happy with the outcome, as was the customer.

He's actually now on my maintenance program for the year to help maintain the paint.

So what did the customer say ? Did he wake up to "real" detailing ?

Amazing turnaround, i initially thought he had badly pitted wheels on the afters, then I realized they were so shiny, it was stone reflections.

The customer was truly amazed at the turn around. He is now on my maintenance schedule to ensure the paint stays that way.

The rims came out great! I was very happy with the turn around on this car. As was the customer, which is even more important!

Exceptional work Jason! 19 hours is really putting some Bean Town love into it.

lol thanks Ed. I took my time with it. He left me the car for 3 days. Cause he wanted to ensure I had plenty of time to finish it. I told him I could get it done in 2 no problem. But he insisted.

FYI - Your avatar makes me laugh every time I look at it!

Great job Jason. I really like it when daily drivers are turned around.
