What products do you recommend for in the engine bay to help keep in clean/easier to clean?

Thanks!

Sonus Trim & Motor Kote, acrylic protectant, black plastic protectant, engine dressing

Sonus Trim and Motor Kote is one of the most popular. All you do is spray and you're done. Just don't touch it. I got turned onto it from Todd Helme. Here's a thread that he has written that has made me buy it.

There are so many threads out there that sings the praises of the product. Just Google "Sonus Trim and Motor Kote review" or "Sonus Trim and Motor Kote" and you'll get a bunch of results from Autopia Forums and AutogeekOnline.

:iagree: Using the same product here as well.

303 makes some great protecting stuff too . Might not be a coating but for prep it s pretty good .

Might give Sonus a try one day , thanx for info fellas !

Love this stuff, I use it on the engine, under carraige, frame etc. Definately keeps things clean for a long time including the engine block.

Sonus is very good. But my fav is megs hyper dressing 4:1
No waiting or messing about. After your mill is clean, just spray on (engine does not even have to be dry) and walk away! After it sets, it leaves a PERFECT finish.

I have always used hyper dressing for engine bays and wheel wells

Meguiars D170 Hyper Dressing at 4:1 works well in the engine bay. Water based so no solvent fumes to worry about. Sonus product works well too but you really have to force yourself not to touch it and seems a bit thicker in application.

Carpro perl works pretty well too. If you have any of that laying around worth a shot.

I use Megs Hyper Dressing 4:1 also. Looks natural.

I use 303, just spray it on diluted a bit from a automotive paint sprayer with a primer tip on it and leave it overnight. Come back the next morning and there is very little to no product to clean up. Very surprising how long it lasts.

I have perl here, but I was under the assumption that it shouldn't go on metal since it won't bond? Also could you just spray and walk away like the Sonus?

You were supposed to say nope and then list the 20 steps I need to take, taking note to mention it can only be done under a full moon in the 3rd week of September. Now I'm gonna spend more money
