I see sealants that state they are Polymer, Synthetic, Acrylic, Ceramic, Nano...I have no idea which ones are better? Is there a web link anywhere to explain these?

I would just order the wolfgang sealant, you will be happy :)

Ehh it's ok. Jetseal blows it away. Lasts longer and looks better. Again this is from my experiences piggybacking both winter and summer. And AG sells jetseal so I can talk about it lol

Something I agree with. But everything now a days is marketing. It's all a business. If Autogeeks says yeah our brands are good but the guy down the streets stuff is better well they woudnt be around.

Yeah I'm a bit shocked some don't get the results I get from it. I even convinced myself it wasn't good, switched then switched back. But really I should ditch sealants and just go coatings anyway. Really want to try the blacklabel stuff!

I have tried numerous sealants over the year and normally get great results fro all the brands carried through Autogeek. I cannot really say that any have been a disappointment. From my experience some are slicker than others and some last a little longer. There will be numerous opinions on brand and in some areas they will last longer depending on how the car is maintained and the prep work before the sealant is applied. For the money I normally get the as good of results with Poorboys Sealant as I do with the Wolfgang, which is double the price. The key is in the prep leading up to applying the LSP, weather a sealant or a wax. Like Mike Phillips has said in the past pick a product you like and continue to use it. Everyone here has an opinion on which brand is the best, but from my experience they all do as intended if you use them in the correct manner.

Jetseal??!!

Not a chance. WGDGPS and BFWD are the best looking and most durable currently available. Then comes PowerLock, Ultimate Liquid Wax. Last comes Jetseal.

My bottle of Jet Seal found its way to the landfill. Each to their own though - there are many great sealants available. I prefer Menz Powerlock, WGDGPS and Reload.

I think the exact opposite. I've used jet seal for about two years and won't go back after using Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant 3.0. If you're trying to compare it to the spray sealant, that's not even comparing two similar products. I've used both products on customer cars and my own. WG is MUCH glossier, slicker to the touch, and more hydrophobic.

Maybe some of you guys are comparing the older jetseal. I dunno why I can get mine to last and look good? And no I don't use a spray sealant, well except for V07 from time to time but really do just aid in drying .

I tossed my jetseal out, it rates imho as highly over rated and over marketed. I barely got 4 weeks of noticeable protection during a Florida summer. Just my opinion, but I wouldn't pay $10.00 for a bottle of jetseal.

People like to refer to "beading" there was none after 4 weeks with jetseal.

Seems like a majority posting in this thread concur with my experience with jetseal.

I'd take WG 3.0 or BFWD over jetseal in a hear beat and have both of them and have used them extensively.

I bought WGDGPS and never bother to purchase any other sealant anymore :)

I think one way to judge some of the sealants, is by the amount of, or lack of cleaners added to them. Such can easily be selected with a line such as Duragloss, them having 3 off the top of my head, #501, #105, #111. from the most, to the least amount of cleaners in them. Thus on a slightly neglected, or dirty finish, with crud on the paint, I'd more likely be reaching for #501, rather than #111.

Then some others, such as Collinite products, which #845 IW is said to be a hybrid, meaning it contains both synthetic Polymers, and Carnauba Wax.

It is an excellent product IMO as well. In fact, anything I've used with the Wolfgang name on it is top flight in my book.

WGDGPS 3.0 is so easy to apply, and remove, and it does give a tremendous amount of high gloss, and glass-like reflections.

I'm going to go back to WG next week. I want to compare again. Although for me winters are more extreme than summers here. I wonder if I should do like half the hood with jetseal and the other half with WG and just leave it for a month. Come back and really see if there is a major difference.

I also wonder if it's possible I bought a bad bottle of WG? If everyone here but me thinks it's better than jetseal mayb I just got a bad batch .

I get beading with jetseal after a long winter and 6 months of use so I dunno. I should post a photo of what my car looked like after its first hand wash in March after an awful winter. Car beaded like it was just freshly waxed. So I'm really confused now.
