OK, I have NXT, EX-P, and the new DP sealant (actually haven't had a chance to try this yet.) I love how my windshields bead water off just from cleaning them with Meg's glass cleaner. I was wondering, can I seal them with NXT, EX-P, or DP?

Any downside, i.e. smudging, streaking later?

I'm leaning towards NXT since that is a an easily found and cheap OTC item. I would rather save the good stuff (EX-P and DP) for the paint. I know people use Klasse AIO or SG but I would rather stick with what I have for now.

AIO works really well on glass. I dont' see why your sealants wouldn't work, I would just make sure to apply very thin so when buffed off your wipers don't chatter or anything, some people have had some sealants cause a haze or streak when the wipers are on.

AIO has worked very well for me, just poured when I was heading back to my office, and din't even need my wipers lol. However I will be trying Aqualpel (OTC) as appears to be liked even moreso then AIO. I just like the AIO b/c I'll put it on a 4" cleaning pad that brings out the cleaning properties very well and leaves the acrylic layer.

Klasse twins works great on glass as Surfer stated above me. AIO then SG on top of clean glass will bead water nicely! :D

I have a bottle of DP's Spray Sealant. I used it on the glass of my truck and let cure for 12 hours. Beads amazing and the wipers don't remove it. I took some pics today....

I'll have to give the DP sealant a shot. I also have the DP final finishing polish. That's non-abrasive, right? If so, I'll use that to clean the glass first.

I ended up waxing my windshield, side windows, and hatch class with collinite when i did the car a few months ago. To this day, i still dont have to use my windshield wipers as long as i go faster than 30 mph :)

I used AIO a lot in the past, just started using DG#105, works great.

There's an idea! Did you use the Double Coat or the Insulator? Was the clarity good? Any wiper blade judders?

Cheers

I hope my question isn't too juvenile. Please tell me what Klasse Twins are. I know AIO is All In One cleaner. I should have asked earlier after joining the forum.
Thanks :o

I put 2 coats of AIO on my windshield and I'm not impressed. Maybe I'm doing it wrong but I don't get the Rain-x affect.

You will not get that sheeting form AIO. I will cause water to bead, not to sheet. WIth that in mind, water will not be "penetrating" into your glass, making it very hard to see even with wipers on.

I was thinking to seal it with eggnog.:D :p
Rum to deep clean the windshield before applying the eggnogIm the MAN

Nah, don't waste the rum:D

I know Aquapel is OTC, but I cannot seem to find it anywhere. I would love to get some, but don't see it in my area. Can someone hook a brother up??

EDIT: Nevermind, I see I can order it online:-)

There is no need to waste time, gas, and put more miles on your vehicle, the best thing to do - is to order online. That's what I usually do.
