So from time to time I do remove the front seat when needed only if they dont have air bags. But if they have air bags I dont remove them in fear of the airbag light that will appear on the instrument cluster . How do some of you guys go about this issue?

I pull the negative terminal on the battery before I mess around any airbag. You should research the exact model of car you will be working on first. Some have memory/alarm/radio devices that will loose their activation codes unless you do something first. Some even require that you either plug a memory back-up battery into the cigarette lighter or plug an actual special computer into the OBD-II port and save all data first.
