Oh I did something similar applied to both cars and then detailed the interior while it hazedYou could (and i have on work trucks) apply dirty, but typically I wash the glass, dry with a towel, move to tires/wheels/fenderwells.
By then the windows are good and dry.
Apply liberally to all of the glass then get to washing/claying.
Works great. No streaks or windshield wiper noise
I am hoping that polishing and using panel prep helps it last longer.
The mustang sat on the lot for a year and the glass was terrible even after glass cleaner. The gti had some glass cleaner / protectant on it that was wearing off
