Shark Skin Application

One of the fishermen sprayed new clear coat on the boat to protect it from the rust. Since then we want to put shark skin where the clear coat was sprayed on (not professionaly done). What do we have to do to make sure it adheres to the boat which is brand new? Help please guys.Thanking you in advance .
