Short-lived Rupes battery

I purchased an iBrid Nano April of last year. I've used it perhaps 6 times and today one of the batteries is shot. It won't take a charge (flashing red light on charging base) and will not operate the Nano, or so much as turn the light on the Nano. I've never had a battery go this fast with any of my cordless tools. Has anyone else had a similar problem with their Nano battery?
