Pinnacle Liquid Crystal Waterless Wash Concentrate with Carnauba, waterless car wash, eco friendly car wash products

I consider myself a waterless wash junkie. Between 3 of our cars I wash them weekly, with either Blackfire or Ultima.

Recently I had the privilege to test out the new Pinnacle Waterless Wash (Thanks Nick & PBMG). I was really excited the first night I got the product:righton: to test them out. It was almost dark but I got pics of the front end all clean on my TL and I tried in my wifes passenger side door too for a test spot first…Now I think my neighbors think I am nuts for cleaning my car in the dark now….O well

Thoughts on why this product is different from other and why should it be added to your arsenal?? It’s a one stop shop, I tend to use a QD or spray wax after I do a waterless wash. With the Pinnacle this was not needed, the finish was LSP smooth and no streaking. This is very similar if not better than one of my favorite waterless that cost a lot more(Megs)..

With a Waterless wash don’t be afraid to use more, this is the one situation were I believe more is better, I used about 12 towels and 24 oz of liquid; so the concentrate is one amazing buy. 4 Gallons from the concentrate :righton:

Before I got started I gathered about 12 or so MF towels, I first did the panel on my wife’s car and then proceeded to my 2001 TL.

The product:

Re: Short Take: Pinnance Waterless Wash

Ooops sorry for the title I typed this review on the phone...

In your opinion how does it compare to UWW+? I also use lots of MFs when I do a rinseless GDWM or using a waterless. Glad to see I am not the only one.

IT has the same cleaning ability's. But Sometimes depending on when I waxed the car I would have to use a QD or Spraywax afterwards to amp the gloss.

With Pinnacle I was able to skip that step, It defiantly amps up the shine.

Also this smells alot more yummy:hungry:

Wife's car now, her car is really dirty. So I tested the door and hood only to see if it would scratch. Sprays let it sit for a minute. And wiped...no scratches, and another thing to note was the products didn't run like UWW or BFWW. I am loving doing only one step and no QD to follow up.

Sounds good! I use a Waterless Wash on my bike about every 5 days followed with a QD. Lots of road grime builds up around the lower fairings and triangle. Turning two steps into one sounds good to me. I even use a QD almost every morning to wipe down morning dew. Can't wait to try this out tonight...

Well I Just found my permanent water spot remover. Today I left the office at around 6 pm, my black car was parked so the front was facing the open part of the garage. I know earlier today it rained but didn't think it rained sideways like it did. The front of the TSX was covered in water spots  !!!

Luckily I still had the PLCWW in my TL

Since the temp was 55 outside I let it sit for a minute or two

Finally Thoughts

Sorry I did this review in bits in pieces on all 3 cars, but I promise I have a good reason. Like I said I am a waterless junkie and usually need about 24 or so OZs to do a whole car.
Before I make a purchase of this I needed to know it works and it works really darn well:xyxthumbs:

I will summarize what I did on the 3 cars and what I was looking/testing for.

1.White Acura TL- Car was lightly soiled mainly black dust from road construction. Sprayed wiped right off, and did not leave streaking or scratching.

2. Bronze CRV- My wifes car was heavily soiled, because of the color you cant tell but look at the pics and use the Civic in the reflection as a reference point. Here the product was sprayed and I let it sit for couple of minutes. Wiped to a shine.

3- Black Acura TSX- Perfect time to test for water spots!!! and it passed:props: I am really picky on what I use on the newer Acura, and this stuff took the dried water spots right off, and I didnt even have to use a QD to follow up.

It passed all 3 test, dusty conditions, heavily soiled, and water-spots. Now I am about to order the concentrate. I really hope this helps yall make a informed decision, and if you have questions please ask.

great review

I know what you meant about "water spot remover" but that is terribly misleading...when there is a light rain and there were some waterspots that was only there for a few hours, anything would take it off, even water, not just the pinnacle waterless wash, when people talk about water spot remover, they typically mean etched on spots that would not come off...for example when there has been rain for a day and I wash my car with my car shampoo that takes care of the water spots, but I wouldn't call my car shampoo a water spot remover

I agree I should have stated fresh waterspots.

How is it for slickness, say as compared to UWW?

I think UWW might win in slickness but at this point its almost splitting hairs.

I just bought the concentrate version defiantly good bang for the buck.

Thank you for answering all my questions! I have one more and you may not be able to answer it yet. How does the wax in the Pinnacle WW hold up? I'm going to be getting more WW pretty soon, either UWW concentrate or the Pinnacle concentrate. Just trying to figure out which one to buy.

I must admit, I love UWW+ but having tried the new pinnacle waterless, i must say, off the charts awesome! slick, and nice glow look!

Well glad that you asked. I used the waterless on my DD about a week before I wrote this review. And Hurricane Sandy has been doing a number on my white TL. The TL has only one coat of Wolfgang Deep Gloss applied about a month ago and since then it has rained alot in WV. Both together have been holding up really well. But honestly the nuba in WW would have to be applied to a bare car to get stand alone results.

But both the Ultima and Pinnacle(have both) are great products, but I am really like the Nuba glow now.

Doesn't sound like there is any down side to either one, but you get that extra little kick from the Pinnacle with the wax added. Looks like I know what I'm going to get. Thanks again for the helpful feedback.:props:

No Problem, let me know if you have any other questions.

Marre: did you get a chance to try this out? What do you think
