Hey guys thought I'd share a recent correction I did for a client. This car was a TRAIN WRECK! The owner had his car "buffed" at the dealership by someone with zero rotary experience. It had holograms and buffer trails galore. He wanted me to perform a 1 step to keep it within his budget and this came out GORGEOUS! This paint was by far the easiest I have ever corrected. It wasnt to hard nor to soft......just right. 12 hrs start to finish. Ill let the pics speak for themselves :buffing: :xyxthumbs:.

Products Used:
Garry Deans IUDJ (Not sold on AG)
Nanoskin Speedy Prep Sponge
Menzerna FG400 via Rupes 21 and GG6 with 5.5" and 4" Buff N' Shine MF cutting pads
Garry Deans Infinite Purpose Cleaner on wheels, tires & fender wells (Not sold on AG)
Garry Deans Infinite Tire and Trim Gel (Not sold on AG)
Garry Deans Juice Boost Polymer Sealant as my LSP (Not sold on AG)

Great work, night and day difference. Impressive what you could achieve in only 12 hours, congrats!

Thanks for sharing,

Kind Regards.

Great work, We all know how much work goes into this kind've work. Looking forward from more work from ya!

Great 50/50 shots

A 12 hour 1-step?

Was the interior destroyed?

What was your process with FG400?

- # of passes
- machine speed
- downward pressure
- arm speed
- section size

Not taking up for him, but if he did the roof too, and took his time, I can see it.

OP, you should've sold him on trim restoration as well.

I'm curious to see his answer to these questions. And can vouch for the time he said with these larger cars. I did a Honda Odyssey a couple months back, and although slightly different, using Meg's D151 PRC was a time consuming process, AIO or not. After doing interior and stain removal.... I took about 12 hours.

Yeah, I need to get my 1-step/AIO times down to quicker turnover. It's perfect for some of my customers but really does get time consuming with multiple section passes, etc.

^ But a 1 step correction is more intensive than an AIO. So they should not take same amount of time. At least thats my $.02

Excellent work turning that dimmed black paintwork into beautiful deep rich black paintwork that screams "look at me"

12 hours was easily achievable. Ive been doing this for awhile now and over time you get faster bc you learn to be more efficient with your technique. It also helped that the paint corrected very easily and was neither too soft or too hard as stated. I did 4-6 section passes over a 2'x2' area at a time with my Rupes 21 speed 6 with medium arm movement. It also helped that most of the panels are flat and large so that saved me time as well. Rinseless wash using GDWM saved a large amount of time. Rinseless method was also performed on the wheels, tires and fender wells. LSP of choice which was a spray sealant helped as well. Interior was very clean and only required a light vacuum and wipedown. Car was done over a 2 day period with the final pictures taken on the 3rd day.

Beautiful work my friend:)

Thank you :)

I did restore the trim. Trim was restored first with Mothers B2B Restorer, then topped with Infinite Tire and Trim Gel

A 1 step really isnt much more work than an AIO IMO. Im able to complete my AIO packages in 6-8 hours no problem. I do 3 SLOW section passes then move on to the next panel. Time is money and I make sure the customers expectaions are achievable and also understood before the work is performed. I have yet to have a complaint. COMMUNICATION IS A MUST :)!

See above statement :buffing:

Caleb and black paint..... Swirls beware!!! Well done my friend!

Twelve hours for one polishing step seems like it would be tough to keep your hourly rate up

How much of that time was spent on the interior?

What did you charge the Customer?

Awesome work....you were spot on with the amount of time 12 hours is about right....I see allot of postings of details where people are only spending 7 or 8 hours on details with paint correction. .and it shows too..lol...to do correction it is time consuming. ...great job

I dont charge by the hour, I charge by the job. I almost feel you dont believe me or are trying to disprove me, but I stand by what I stated. I beasted this XC90 out in 12 hours LIKE A BOSS. Interior was already pretty clean so I just did a quick wipedown and vacuum....20 minutes tops. If you are wanting to know my prices you can view them on my website Impeccable Image Detailing. Hope that helps Im the MAN

I like the pricing structure on your website.
Easy to understand for the Customer

So you billed, $650 including the coating for the Volvo

Since you are getting well paid ($54 an Hour) and getting great results, no argument from me

I wasn't saying it didn't take you that long.

I was thinking, since you said; "This paint was by far the easiest I have ever corrected." 12 hours was a lot of time
