Love organizing and tinkering with mine.

Commonly used chemicals up top, towels and applicators on the middle shelf, and correcting/protecting stuff down low.

Brushes on the sides.

Let’s see your carts!

I thought I was the only one who put stickers on my detail cart;) but I put my towels on the first shelf to avoid the limited space of the second/third shelf

You are lucky, cause my wife wouldn't let me store a cart like that in the kitchen! How about also telling us where you got the cart or what type it is for those of us wanting to get one.

It’s permanent home is in the laundry room, but it gets rolled into the kitchen for reorganization often. I know my better half thinks I’m a nerd for this detailing obsession, but she sure loves her car looking
brand new!

I got this cart several years ago from Adams before they started making pumpkin spice, socks and blankets smh...
It’s made by Luxor and has been a great purchase, very steady and incredible smooth wheels.

I always wondered if something like this would come in handy as I've seen them advertised before. I do all my detailing in the garage (obviously) and we have a nice heavy duty closet organization system in our garage. I keep all my supplies in there so it's not a big deal to walk over and pull out what I need at any given point in time. I do see where this would be beneficial though to have everything at your fingertips from a convenience perspective.

I think either method is fine. For maintenance washes, I find myself just plucking products off the cart and taking them in the garage instead of rolling the whole thing outside. Getting it over the door threshold is tricky because it’s pretty loaded down at this point. Essentially, it’s just a mobile detailing cabinet.

The cart has proved to be way more useful than I would have thought. In my last detail, I pulled it behind me as I did the tires, wheels, and lower trim (black plastics) with the various products. I pretty much remained seated on a rolling stool, and pulled the cart behind me, all the way around. Lazy, sure. But also saved me time, and kept me from popping my knee joints.

Here's a thread I did for some of the uses mine has seen

lol the kitchen pic is hilarious!

here's mine.... The black PVC pipe holsters my SGS28 gun and Mozmatic lance from OG. Works like a charm as i make my way around my car or the wife's car when washing :xyxthumbs:

I think so, too! Cracks me up.

I'm digging how your's is "modified." I intend to make some changes to mine...eventually

The bottle organizer is a must and I simply put screws on the sides to hold the brushes. Makes it fully functional for sure.

That’s one of those decorative ones from Ikea. I had that in mind for a bit but pulled out because of the small stature. How do you find he height and size?

First time including pictures. Let's see i I did it right.

I made my own cart. Works great, although were I to do it over, I would have made it a bit smaller.

Top shelf includes two different type bottle holder racks that I got from a bar and restaurant supply store. Middle shelf holds all of the tools I can't hang on the pegboard on the side. Lowest shelf has bulky items. I had a hole in the top shelf to insert a 5 gallon bucket, but the bucket took up more room than I wanted to give it, and I replaced the shelf with a full piece of wood.

Pegboard has been nice. Keeps small stuff handy and easy to find. I love the power strip I added - I run and extension cord to the cart, and can plug in lights, polishers, my MetroVac Side Kick, shop vac, and pressure washer. I even have a cord for charging my phone.

I put smooth rolling 3" casters on it, and it rolls around very easily. Glad I don't have to lift it anywhere, but it works great for me.

Cost me about $35.00 in materials. Sadly, the cost was quite a bit higher. While drilling the holes to insert the casters, I was trying to take a drill bit out of a drill, and held the bit instead of the chuck when I pulled the trigger. Maybe I'll work on posting the picture of my hand. But the emergency room bill was almost $1,000. So this was a pretty expensive cart to build for me, but I bet for anyone else, they could do it for less than $50.00.

Wow great job man, that thing is super functional.

And it hurts just thinking about your hand, ouch!!

For me its all i need... I only detail my car and the wife's car. Its more or less a place for me to keep the tools i use for washing my car's in one spot. Granted i have a 6' cabinet in the garage to house my gallon refills and MF towels.
