Sorry for your loss, it's something we all dread. I found out from the breeder that Buster & Ziva's mum passed a week ago, too young. I told them to call in any time they're in the area, to catch up with her offspring.

Went to the Pet Supplies store today, when I walked in everybody was standing in one aisle checking these guys out. Two rescue Wombats, about 18 months old, and only half grown. They won't be released back into the wild, they both have ongoing issues, the one I'm holding in the last shot is blind. How could I say no when they asked if I wanted to hold one. Groot - our foster fail.
Our black lab of 9 years had to be put down in Feb-2019 and it was too quiet. We decided we still wanted a pet around, but weren't ready to commit to fully adoption at that time so we started fostering. We made it through about 3 fosters before we caved.

She (yes, this Groot is female) was part of 4 kitties and mom that we fostered a little over a year ago. The kitties were a couple days old when we got them.
Had them for 6ish weeks and Groot was the one we kept. Drax, Quill and Rocket and their mom all went on to be adopted.

It was fun to see them change from tiny little things (eyes closed) to running around and chasing one another.

The angry boy in the post above yours was originally called Rocket, but it got shortened to Rocky. Given what he does to scratching posts, he should have been called Drax, a.k.a The Destroyer.
