Vette I worked on last weekend won it's class at a show this last weekend. Doesn't get much better feeling then That!

What did you use, how many hours, where was the show, what class, how big was the trophy?

Did this car compete against Ron? :)

The car looks great BTW!

Thanks, I'm not sure how many were in the class but it's a big local event in my area.

2 bucket wash with megs hyper wash and grit guards

Clay decontam with nanoskin med and last touch at 1:1

Wheels and tires done with mckees tire and rubber rejuv and mckees wheel coating. Wheels cleaned with cg diablo gel

Glass with mckees glass restorer polish and glass coating.

Griots finishing sealant with boss g15 on black and orange pads.

Griots best of show paste wax (2hr cure time with 1hr in direct sun)

Cg vrp on black trim and plastic (looking to replace this product)

Top treated with 303 fabric guard

Exhaust tips polished and coated with hydro blue. Wheels also coated with hydro blue.

Megs apc at 1:10 inside and topped with 303. Carpet was also scrubbed with megs and vacuumed.

I could not condition the seats because they had just been recovered and need 6 months per instruction.

This was my 4th time using the polisher. The paint wasn't in really bad shape just needed swirls taken out and polished up to shine. I topped it with wax and let it cure for awhile hoping to enhance the deep color that looks wet. Sealant alone tends to have a more glossy look to it.

Thanks for the details. I'm glad your hard work paid off. Hopefully you'll get the Vette again and others from the show next year. Who doesn't love a freshly polished and waxed black car.
 
How do you like your Griot's rolling bench?

I absolutely love the rolling bench. Working clean is much easier and it saves a ton of time I would otherwise be getting up to swap pads and compound.

You can keep extra pads in the drawer and bottles of compound on the side. There are also two trays on each side.

For instance when I'm claying a vehicle I will keep my spray on one side and my microfiber on the other. I also keep the clay or synthetic on one of the bottle holders. I can reach for them and not worry about knocking one on the ground contaminating it.

When I'm using the polisher I put my microfiber and swirl light on one side and my polisher on the other side when I grab the towel to buff it. The bin in the middle holds extra pads and keeps them away from falling dirt splatter from compound and general shop dust.

It's well made, saves me a lot of time by keeping things easily accessible and saves my body the wear and tear of up and down all day. Once I started using I could see how much thought actually went into it!

Not at all, and thank you for the rich info. I'm going to get one now as you answered some questions I had about it (but didn't ask).
