I re did my auto services page on my website. I actually raised the prices but included more in them. It turns out a lot more of my customers are women than men. I thought auto detailing was going to be all about polishing paint (you would think so after reading mikes book lol)

Turns out the ladies like a really clean car on the inside. I went out and bought a hot water extractor and added it to all my packages. I also added an interior only. When I point out scratches on a car most of my female customers say wow I never noticed that. Then they point out every stain in their rugs. They notice all of them.

I know a lot of guys on this site offer a laundry list of detailing services every thing from headlights to PDR. For me it seems like 90% of my customers are looking for shiny and clean.

Click on my link and check out my services pages. Please leave some feedback. Thanks.

I agree bro! Keep it relatively simple on the web site. Then use selling skills when you arrive. Of course be honest, but I found that if you have too much info and use too much "industry jargon' it just frustrates people.
Good Luck!!

I also agree...I find the clients hot spots and key in on those area's. Remember we are not doing our cars but the customers cars.

hey there nice site looks good. One thing you may ad to your rvs is buffing .For myself 95% of my rvs get buffed and the owner down here in se fl never pay to have us do the in side. All they wont is us to do the out side only.also 90% of them are staying in the rvs when we are doing them at the parksand from out of state. When they get down here they call us and we come to the park and get it done.Witch is good for us as we get 4 or 5 more jobs when they see what we do.

oh yes! you are correct. people dont know are care about "paint correction" so much. it is all about educating them about it.

most of my customers are women as well and are more concerned with the interior being clean primarily, and then have a "shiny" exterior.

on your page, you may want to change your The Express Exterior Detail price for Trucks/Vans/SUV. it is the same price as for cars.

i like the extractor picture...is that your photography?

I fixed the price. Thanks for pointing it out. My wife took the extractor picture. Its me testing the new extractor. Neither one of us is good at photography. All the pictures on the site are ones we took. No stock photos were used. When I do RVS if anything is in bad shape I don't take the job. That is why I don't have a buffing/compounding price. My wash and wax package includes an AIO with a polish in it that has abrasives in it. The nice thing about being a part time detailer is you can pass on the jobs you don't want.

The picture looks great. I do all my own photos too. It is important to show off your own work and not someone elses.

Does adding polishing oils hinder the bonding of the sealant in the AIO? I thought about doing this but have not been able to test it out.

I'm moving this out of,

Tips, Techniques and How-to Articles for Interacting on Discussion Forums

Which is kind of a forum group or category for learning how to do things on "discussion forums" and into the forum group for how to make money detailing cars.
