As you know guys I don't have that much of experience in the machine polishing stuff, so I don't know if this is a dumb question, I just wanted to know what are the diff between handling Single Stage Paints , and Two or three. I mean talking about the polishing and compounding methods.

Thanks, Take Care.

I treat single stage and clearcoated finishes the same with regards to polishing. Provided there's enough paint on the single stage, or enough clear on a clearcoated car, I'll polish away...compound if needed.

Your pads will get loaded up with paint when polishing a single stage finish, not so when polishing a clearcoated finish.

Yeah, if you detail a lot, it is a good idea to have some single stage pads that are separate from your clear coat pads.

be carefull not to take to much paint off and keep in mind that pads will pull some pigment and color your pads.
