Hi,
I’m going to use pinnacle crystal SiO2 spray on my “08” victory red corvette after polishing the paint. I would like to know if I can/should put a coat of pinnacle liquid souveran wax on top of it.
Thanks for the help
Mike

If you use old school products over sio2 products you cover up the benefits of the sio2 based products (hydrophobic beading and self-cleaning ability primarily).

People do all kinds of things though.

For me I pick either traditional polymer based sealants/wax or sio2 based coatings and toppers. I do not mix them.

You can put Liquid Souveran on top. You may not want to because Crystal SiO2 has good self-cleaning.

My recommendation: Put Liquid Souveran as your base LSP and use Crystal SiO2 to top it anytime, but at least once every 4-6 weeks. And it can be used as a drying aid, but I like it as a stand-alone after washing and drying.

Not required but if you were to use both products then put SiO2 on top of LS. Enjoy

You can, it won't hurt anything and would probably look darn good.

But like others have stated, when you top a coating with a wax or sealant you then get the benefits and features of the wax or the sealant instead of the benefits of the coating.

I think it's safe to say - one of the main reasons any of us use a coating on our cars is to get the benefits of the coating.
