Drive an 03 jetta which has a hard clearcoat. Just wondering if SIP is that much better than just regular menzerna intensive polish?

yeah i know SIP is good stuff but what makes it that much better than the regular intensive polish? is it worth the extra money or is it pretty much the same stuff with a different label

SIP is SUPER intensive. youll notice the difference first time you use

Does SIP seem to saty wetter and work longer. I have had problems with both the old MEgs 105 and Poorboys SSR ( Original ) drying before getting worked in.

but all in all will i get the same results with the intensive polish as the SIP

Both SIP and IP has a cut of 3.5 on the Menzerna scale, but SIP was made for ceramic clear coats.

but if they both have a cut of 3.5 would i really notice a difference between the two?

is volkswagen ceramic clear? i know its supposed to be real hard but is it ceramic

Is Benz the only manufacturer using a ceramic?

What other manufacturers do we consider "Hard"

I own an Acura.

Mercedes started this back in 2003-2004 I believe. I seriously doubt if Honda/Acura uses the PPG ceramiclear. Im guessing most of the newer German cars use it. I think Nissan/Infiniti has the permission from PPG to use it on repairs or something like that.

Meguiars Soft Buff W-8006 Foam Polishing Pad 6.5"

Meguiars Soft Buff W-9006 Foam Finishing Pad 6.5"

Meguiars Soft Buff W-7006 Foam Cutting Pad 6.5"

SIP and IP have the same cut but SIP has more "powder" in it thus works faster and better on harder clears. VW uses a very hard clear, have a 06 GTI, and ceramic polishes are a must I think for VWs.
