Haha, I know the wash your talking about, think I still have some, had gold beads in it right and was blueish in color? It was slick but cleaned like crap and sud's didn't last. But yeh, the beads had like an oily carnauba base inside them b/c if you crushed one between fingeres it was like oil.killrwheels@autogeek said:I bought one of the store OTC products with beads once, and I thought it was never going to wash off my hands. Just like oil, but slickness isnt the only thing to look to into car washes, here are some great ones.
Carnauba --- Pinnacle, Megs Gold, Mothers, Poorboys Suds
Sealants --- Poorboys, Duragloss, NTS7, Z7
Are you saying that " Sealants --- Poorboys, Duragloss, NTS7, Z7" are best used to wash a vehicle that only has sealant applied like Klasse SG, or that there is some sealant properties within the shampoo?killrwheels@autogeek said:I bought one of the store OTC products with beads once, and I thought it was never going to wash off my hands. I am curious because I have been using Meg's Gold Class on my vehicle which has only SG (acrylic?) and QD'd with DG #521 (polymer?) and not sure if your post means I can get better cleaning ability with the ones mentioned in the sealants category?
Thanks.

Duragloss definitley doens't harm wax though, it's pretty much all I use now, seems to have some polymers in it or something as I've never seen a wash leave such a crisp shine to a car after driving, almost as if you had just qd it.killrwheels@autogeek said:What I have found is some soaps are almost to strong for use on a wax. They cut down on its performance. Some maybe awesome soaps however, and thus I keep them in personal stock and use when paint has sealant only as LSP.
I have not read one bad remark in regards to Megs GC...Pinnacles by far the slickest I've used, Megs GC would be second.
I gave my Megs GC to my neighbor, good otc wash but I had no use for it, but IMO Duragloss is better, heck I haven't even ordered anymore PB SSS since using DG 901 and I've had DP Extreme Foam to try as well.joe.p said:I have not read one bad remark in regards to Megs GC...
Wystang,
Where would DG fall between the two you listed
i have SS&S ..but i haven't used since i bought DG Soap..for some reason i get massive water spotting with PBs...maybe it dosen't play well with our water here..i could always try Megs in a pinch...Surfer said:I gave my Megs GC to my neighbor, good otc wash but I had no use for it, but IMO Duragloss is better, heck I haven't even ordered anymore PB SSS since using DG 901 and I've had DP Extreme Foam to try as well.
DG 901 is just real slick, cleans good, and leaves a shine like no other wash I've seen, looks like you just qd' the car after drying it.
