We bought our car out of state. I was removing the state inspection sticker from the inside windshield. I used Goof Off, a hair dryer and a razor

Looks like I may have left a 1/2" horizontal scratch. It's above where the VIN is and not noticeable unless looking for it. I'm surprised this happened as I was very careful

Should I address this or just leave it ?

I think you answered your own question " and not noticeable unless looking for it". Plus there is really no way to "address" that where it is, it would be hard enough to get that out if it was on the *outside*, there is no room to work that on the inside.

Lastly, are you sure that's a scratch? That seems an odd direction to get a scratch if you were scraping a sticker, plus it seems very vivid--are you sure that isn't some glue or sticker residue? Have you tried some IPA on it? That's what I usually use to remove inspection sticker residue.

Thanks. I tried Goo Gone on a qtip (can't reach it otherwise) . It didn't seem to remove it. I thought it was a weird direction to get a scratch as well.

I will try some IPA
