I don't know if this I the wrong section, if it is forgive me. I bought some of their leather conditioner from ford yesterday and tried it on my leather couches. Before when I used Lexol it did okay, but the smell was terrible. I tried one coat of SL and I must say I'm impressed. Anyone ever used this product?? Thanks

Never used their stuff, but it is interesting, no doubt.:xyxthumbs:

its against the forum rules to post links from competitors, in the future refrain from doing so, dont want to see you get into any trouble over a innocent mistake, to me the smart wax products look close to chemical guys, i dunno what it is but the page, towels, products really remind me of CG product. glad the product worked out for you. i need to buy me some leather masters or leatherique

Smart Leather looks like CG leather conditioner. If it is then I did not like it and the fake leather smell was overpowering. I love their leather cleaner but for conditioners I went back to my wolfgang samples.

Lexol is low cost OTC product that is extremely limited to the leathers that it works on, meaning it is almost worthless.

SmartWax leather is better, but the smell and softness of the leather goes away in 7-10 days.

Leatherique is the best IMO.

Sorry for posting the link, it won't happen again.

smartwax is chemical guys enthusiast brand for stores and dealerships.
most all products are "ready to use" and dont need diluted.

This is cause the Chemical guy brand is originally for professional detailers. From the labels to the dilution rates on the products.

I have used some smartwax products and they are the same exact as the chemical guys. ie: the leather conditioner. But there paste wax is a step up from anything chemical guys offers from the professional lineup. really a great product and very easy to use.

Is the finish gloss or mat or ?
I am really looking for mat finish for dashboard leather.

I found out that it's the sister company to CG. So it's the same as CG's leather conditioner. It leaves a satin finish, a small step above matte. I personally love the product. I loved it so much I started Conditioning all the leather in the house and used half a bottle( dyed leather, isn't sealed) and it sucked it all up and made the leather soft. For the price it's worth a shot. The smell is great and not over empowering as some conditioners.

wow! thanks for the good info, now i learned something new, it was just a guess judging on the way the site was layed out and look of the product ect.

Just cleaned the leather seats in my parents Excursion (12 years old) and i never felt the leather as soft as I did today. I did two coats and it made the seats soft( AZ IMO is the worst state for leather, the dry heat really sucks the moisture out of anything). Plus my mom loves the smell, it's a win win situation in my book.:D
