I just had someone call me up and said they spilled a protien shake on there carpet.
I asked if it was stained she they cleaned it but i would assume there could still be something there.
But she said the car smells. Can someone tell me the best approach to cleaning and getting the smell out.
Thanks

Carpet cleaner or APC, agitate, then soak up with towel. Steam cleaner or extractor would be the best tool for the job!

You will never get the smell out without using an enzyme that will kill the bacteria.
APC and carpet cleaners are good for removing stains and dirt, but not bacteria. One of the toughest odor to get out is spilled milk.

Agreed along with cat piss and nicotine.

Megs protein stain remover. Ozone treatment. CarPro so2pure application. Smell = gone.

thanks for the quick response. unfortunately i dont have any of that on hand.
Is there anything i can get at a local store? and will a steam cleaner work or do i need an enzyme that will kill the bacteria

The steam cleaner will kill any bacteria and remove the odor. That is what they are designed to do.

You should be able to find one at the bigger pet stores, just look for one that is an enzyme type cleaner.

That's true, but a steamer cannot reach deep down into a seat without possibly damaging the material.

Do they sell that here?

AG stocks pretty much every current Meguiar's product. Last time I checked they at least offer the smaller sized bottles of so2pure. I'm not sure about ozone machines... Although you can pick up a decent ozone machine for about $100 on Amazon.

Huh, yeah it looks like AG no longer carries SoPure. You can always order direct from CarPro.
