Smooth Plastic...what trim restorer??

Is there a trick to making smooth plastic trim look good? I have a 06 Chrysler 300C and I'm trying to find a product to bring some life on the pillar post (pic included). I've tried a few products including Griots Trim Restorer yesterday and all it did was streak really bad. Would something Solution Finish be better or Black Wow for smooth plastic?
And yes I cleaned each pillar with all purpose cleaner 4 times, let it air dry for a few minutes and applied the Griots with a foam applicator and then wiped the excess with a clean microfiber towel.

 
Believe it or not, McKee's paint prep polish is Amazing on smooth plastics. I have been using it and the previous brand (DP) for just this purpose. Cleans trim very well and leaves it looking new again. Will last months by itself but I usually top with Sonax BSD or PNS. Eldorado2k has a thread on here somewhere that has pictures of him restoring some smooth trim on a Tacoma and also some B pillars like you have pictures.
 
Yeah, although I haven't used the McKee's paint prep polish, I am with Don on this one. Polishing them works well. A bit of knowledge goes along way with what trim is suitable to be polished but over the years I have come to know which types of plastic trim responds well & which to stay away from.

CarPro's Essence or Essence + is pretty nive for this application too, actually just yesterday I polished the black plastic side mirrors on a Toyota Hilux, they're slightly textured, so a careful, thorough wipe off is vital but boy it makes them nice. Lasts longer than any dressing too. :xyxthumbs:
