Not sure about what they would have detailing related but if you wanted an air powered D/A for sanding then that would be the tool to look into.

I bought my Makita 9227c rotary from a Matco rep. Snap On may have access to one, or might even have it on the truck most Matco guys. Only drawback is that you could buy it online with overnight shipping and save money.

Otherwise, I use a cordless 3/8" Snap On impact and a set of nylon sheathed thin wall sockets for lug nuts to save a GREAT deal of time whenever I'm removing wheels to clean them.

To be honest, that's about all you'll find on the tool truck without having your tool rep jumping through hoops to get you tools and supplies you can find right here on AG.

I did a quick cruise thru my 5 year old Snap-On catalog, really didn't see anything that is truly "Detailer Use."

At the same token, there are a bunch of different 'tools' people use for whatever, that are NOT "Detailer" but used as such, like a toothbrush.

Have you dealer give ya a new catalog and have a look see. But there is a warning looking at a Snap-On catalog, drool will stick the pages together.

Thanks guys! I am looking into the blue point air da in the catalog.. And a new buffing wheel and impact. Could I use the da in replacement for wet sanding with very fine papers? Or is it mainly for surface prep? I would consider buyig it if i could use it for paint correction! Thanks again guys

Yes you can use an air D/A for sanding. Just make sure you have the foam interface pad for attaching the sandpaper to the backing plate. Then you can use it to cut imperfections in paint.

Okay I'll look at some I see the blue point an the snap on. There's a 100 dollar price difference I love snap ons quality stuff so I don't worry too much about prices
