after a visit to her mothers house in Niagara Falls, the wife shows up home with this...

what the F@$& is that? i have no idea, but it is definitly through the paint t the primer...she is going away for a month on sunday, and i have no time to properly fix the "scratch" the way richy has shown us, so i thought i try and "hide" it a bit.

first up...Makita rotary with Scholl Concepts Orange waffle pad.

Next up...rotary again with SF 4500 and Scholl Concepts Black Waffle Pad.

and then, topped with OG until i can get the "scratch" fixed....

I have no idea what happened here, but it looks intentional...

there is nothing more chicken #### than messing with a persons car..

thanks for looking!

That really bites. You did a great job doing what you did. Whoever did that was a duschbag who could'nt stand that their car looked like crap an yours was show car.

I don't know, but to me, this doesn't look like something intentional, but something more like some dumb mishap-accident?

Were there any high winds where she was at?

Either that, or kids riding around with Skateboards, throwing some dumb thing around, or some other stupid thing like skidding their butts across this super slick ride, and had something in their pocket.

I think if it was an intentional act, they would've simply ran a key around the car, or some other similar dastardly deed, where it would be more than obvious somebody had some sick score to settle.

It does look much better after your work.

I know we all get sick, and hate this sort of stuff.

Damn that sucks

But your polishing did help hide it.

Had I not KNOW there is a scratch there, I wouldn't know the last 4 pictures had a scratch if I was not LOOKING for it

I had a similar scratch across my tailgate once. I came out of home depot and it seemed like someone had lumber or pipes in their truck. when they backed out, they apparently scratched the sh!t out of my tailgate. of course they left before i found it.

nothing out of the ordinary MArk. i agree that i'm not sure what caused it, and it doesn't really look like it is keyed, but i have absolutely no explanation... I mean it is right down to the primer.

at first i thought something might have dropped on it, but there is no dent or anything other than the horrendous scratching....that why i THINK someone scratched it with a purpose.

i basically just wanted to get the protection back on the hood until i have time to fix it in August (touch up or maybe resrapy), but it is definitely better than it was.

now that's a good explanation...never thought of that...

sorry to hear about it though!

I think your wife just got the credit card statement and saw all the Autogeek purchases... :)

+1 :P

I already got accused of spending to much and I am not even married lol (Go Figure) lol

You think it's bad now, just wait...

I once got chewed out by my now ex wife for buying a new car without talking to her first... before we were even engaged, let alone married, let alone even thinking about marriage! Oh why oh why couldn't I have seen the signs?!

I bet it was a looooong ride home for her... lol

When getting married there is no white picket fence on the other side of the hill? :('''

Lol

NICE SAVE!!!

That looks like some low life keyed it. Wife's car (many years ago) was keyed at the 'park and ride' and, well the damaged looked just like that.
