And that's what you really have.

Actually paint was failing also already...didn't dare to polish or compound...

So I used AIO and that's how it turned out.
















 
How so you determine the difference between failing paint and paint that is heavily contaminated and oxidized?

I'm very curious as well. That was obviously not light oxidation, but I also don't see glaring evidence of failure....but I'm only seeing photos on a phone.

4th and 5th picture ... Hood actually had holes thru clear...pictures not very clear

Thank you, i used/ tested 3 opti- seal, blackfire polish and seal and hd speed

Read above and used lc ccs orange pad 6" and flex 3401
 
just goes to show you, you never know until you try. nice save...
