this was bought in concourse condition some years ago, but has sadly been let go. today was an exterior valet with a polish and wax and a quick once over inside. I'm back next week to spend some time cleaning the leather interior, which is pretty mucky. in fairness to the owner, at least he enjoys driving it and its not permanently garaged somewhere. not many photos I'm afraid as i only had three hours to do what i could with it, and the wheels took half of that. its one of those 'project' cars that i could easily have spent a couple of days on, the paint is in appalling condition

car on arrival. clean enough, except for the polish residue left in every nook and cranny by the previous valeter, but looking a bit dull and lifeless

the wire wheels didn't look like they'd been cleaned properly in some time, so this was a fairly major job time wise

products used were
DJ Supernatural wheel cleaner
DJ BTBM shampoo
DJ Lime prime
Son1c wax Protobead
Meguiars detailer glass cleaner
Meguiars nxt metal polish
DJ Supernatural tyre dressing
Dooka wash pad, blue roo, various brushes
usually process followed, with particular attention paid to the wheels.

SON1C wax curing. its another very nice wax to use, easy on, easy off. did the whole car and then buffed without issue. nice job Drew :thumb:

After

thanks for looking. comments welcome as always :grinthumb:
i'll add the photos of the interior once its done next week, it only got a quick wipe and hoover today

We NEED some bead shot!!! Time to get that Jaguar wet bud!

This wax is slated to be another great release (crossing fingers). I have Carnaubavore, Phoenix and I will have to get some protobead!!!

That vintage jaguar looks amazing that color really pops

Looking very good mate, well done.

The picture containing wax can side-to-side with the jaguar is great!

Thanks for sharing.

You're a better man than me, wire wheels ugh. Wheels are one of the first items I look at on cars to determine the time they will need. Now for the car...AWESOME and yea couldn't imagine any other set of wheels on her.

You did amazing work on an amazing car and it's great the owner drives it. Thanks for sharing the photos. Too bad the steering wheel is on the wrong side!

Top job on the Jag , these wheels are perfect , these must have been a pita to detail ! How long it took for the wheels only .

Thanx for sharing .

Wow, even from the photos there is a noticeable increase in gloss and depth, must have been a great car to work on.

thanks very much. it certainly was a pleasure to do

OMG WHAT A STUNNING CAR!

You did a great job on it but here's the question, once done, how long did you stand there staring at it???

so i tackled the interior this morning. i'll apologise now for the photos, i was working indoors and the iPhone just didn't cope very well with the light levels. id hoovered her out and given everything a quick wipe over last week, but today she got a deep clean.
products used were:
DJ SN Leather cleaner
DJ SN leather sealant
DJ total wipe out
Megs Detailer glass cleaner
panel wipe to remove the window sticker residue
steam cleaner, leather brushes and lots of mf cloths

anyway, here she is..

before

a heavy mark on one of the rear seats

50/50 on the front seat

the photos don't really do it justice tbh, this was the dirt just from the front seat

passenger seat was a bit better, but not much (different towel incase you were wondering ;-) )

after

there was also sticker glue on the drivers side window which had been there for quite some time as was well baked on

i used a little panel wipe on a mf cloth to remove it, then all the glass was cleaned with megs glass cleaner

i always think its little jobs like that that really make a big difference.
carpets were hoovered again and steam cleaned, and all leather was sealed with SN Leather sealant

thanks for looking. comments welcome as always

the owner was quite taken aback when they saw the state of the towels and realised what they'd been sitting on
