You may remember my mention of my wheel plight:
http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum...ike-phillips/61511-damage-control-wheels.html

well I've also got a step-son who has been abusing some really nice chrome wheels for a while now... I decided that the best plan of action was to try something a lil tougher than the OTC wheel cleaner I picked up at Oreilleys.

Also discussed in that thread were my poor Yukons aftermarket wheels.. I decided that, if these neglected sport wheels were going to get a shot of my fancy Sonax, then my Yukon was gonna get a shinin' too! Here they are before:

Not too bad (except the barrels, which are possibly not even salvageable)

The Sonax in action:

And after a light scrubbing (didn't have the drill for the buffer stick so I used a cheap wheel scrubber from Oreilleys)

Not perfect, but these wheels also haven't been cleaned in about two years!! So now for the Yukon..

First I gave the sonax a "no scrub" test, i think it did pretty good!

Then I hit it with the Sonax again, even after letting it dwell it wasn't "bleeding"

so I hit it with the BufferStick:

Haven't shined it with the microfiber buffing pads supplied with the BufferStick yet, looking forward to seeing how it increases the gloss... For now I'm very pleased with the results!!

The only issue I had whatsoever is that the BufferStick doesn't like sharp edges...

My bad though, it's simple science.. lol

Overall I was quite satisfied with both products, they were easy to use and produced fantastic results for very little effort and investment. I certainly see why they have homes in the AG line-up.

Thanks for tuning in!!

you had better luck with buffer stick then me had 2 sets junk in my view

Interesting.. Maybe it's a matter of our expectations? Feel free to expound on why you feel the BufferStick is "junk", I'd appreciate your thoughts.

I chewed up my buffer stick today on a set of wheels. Lasted about 2yrs. Lost about an inch from the tip.

I like it and would buy another. I use it for both cleaning and polishing.

I keep seeing those Sonax reviews, this product sounds so good, I bought it... But didn't have a chance to use it, because I currently use some other product...
