Has anyone tried to use souveran wax on a silver metallic car? I bought some souveran wax and didnt notice that it was recommended for red, black, or deep colors. The paint on my car is brilliant metallic silver. Would using Souveran on a light colored car make it more dull or less reflective then using the Signature Series II wax? Im thinking about exchanging the Souveran for the Sig Series, but would like to know if anyone has had any positive experience using souveran on a light metallic color. Thanks.

Souveran can look good on light colored cars. Souveran just has a little something extra in to to make dark colored cars look dripping wet. Souveran can tone down the metallic in the paint though (and tone down flakes if you have any). For a metallic silver I would opt for Sig II over souveran (or even MaxWax for that matter). You probably won't get the "souveran experience" with that color.

Paste wise.....Max Wax is my fave for silvers and whites.

Liquid wise....Souveran Liquid and NXT 2.0

I do have alot of metallic flakes in the paint. Would Souveran look worse then Sig II on light metallic paint, or is there no difference , just Souveran would look better on darker colors?

I think the above posters are saying that Sig Series II will make the flakes look better, ie stand out better than the Souveran. The Souveran will still look great from far away but close up the flakes won't 'pop' like SSII or Max Wax would do.

I like the looks of Signature Series the best on my metallic silver car. I did try Souveran Paste on it before but perfer the looks of Signature Series on that color.

I have used souveran on my silver mdx and liked it, gave a nice liquid nuba look but did not last past one wash. I have 4 tubs so I apply after every wash :-)

Souveran not lasting more then 1 wash? Are refering to Souveran paste???
what are you washing your car with??? NXT or Chem guys citrus wash and gloss? those will defenetely remove it. Switch to Poorboy's SS&S or Pinnacle bodywork shampoo.

I am using paste, what I mean by lasting is the "look" souveran gives only lasts one wash. I know the wax is still there the car is still slick and beads well but the oils that give souveran its unique shine are removed

I use a few washes mostly ONR or Gold Class.

If you mean the "glow" Souveran gives, be sure to use a QD after every wash. I really like Finish Kare 425 detailer for this.

yeah that is my next purchase i have used it before but now i am going to buy a gallon

I guess I will try out Souveran. Ill never know what the outcome will be untill I try it myself. My next purchase will be Sig Series II to see the difference. Thanks for the help and comments :)

Get Sig 11 or max wax

SSII and Souveran Spray Wax is quite the combo, and wont break the bank !!

I've tried Souveran Paste, Liquid Souveran, Signature Series II, and Paste Glaz (no longer available) on my light silver metallic Acura and I liked the Souveran Paste the best because of the "glow" followed by the Paste Glaz. As for sealants, I like Jeffs Werstatt's Prime Strong/Acrylic Jett Trigger and 4* UPP.
