I received the Speed Master brushes from AG yesterday and used them on a customer detail. Amazing! Great quality! And made in USA! I will report back once I get some more time with them. But again, first impressions are very favorable!

To me, the Speed Master brushes are one of those 'must-have' tools. They're incredibly versatile, and they're pretty durable. The only thing you really have to watch out for is the tendency they have to 'splash back' when cleaning wheels, but otherwise they're great.

I found out about the "splash back"..... My legs were covered in product and brake dust..... lol

I love the speed master! But yes, the splash back is bad. I sit to the side of my tires when working and the splash back is never an issue, but I learned this the hard way!

When rinsing out the brush, do not grab it by the handle and shake the brush up and down to rid the excess water. This will weaken the wire where it goes into the wooden handle. Instead, grab it by the wire just in front of the handle, this will keep the wire from bending and twisting.

Nice suggestion. I can see how years worth of this would weaken the metal. I love my speedmasters, very nice quality. I call it my giant "bottle brush":)

Yup, learned that the hard way... actually about an hour before you posted this... LOL.

The splash back and lack of consistent coverage with the bristles is why I prefer the Wheel Woolies.

I relegated my speed brush to wheel wells quite a while ago.

I agree completely !

I agree. I have done the same with my speed master. I would never use the speed master on black wheels as it does cause marring. At least it did on my last set of wheels that were black.
