Spot Eliminators??

Is there any practical difference between regular carpet cleaners and spot eliminators? I'm aware of the different purposes for them, but any reason one couldn't do the job of the other?

I would say yes. Spotters seem to have stronger / better / different chemicals for stepped up performance. Same reason you use a spotter in your laundry...you already know Tide is gonna need some help.

On today's interior which suffered from lots of coffee stains, I used APC 10:1 for the bulk of the carpet, but hit the stubborn spots that didn't budge with Folex. Two problems (general dirt, stains) two approaches worked for me.
