So i just got done washing and waxing my car.
i was using Meguires NXT2.0
as i was buffing out a rear panel of my car, i noticed what i thought was a super tiny chip
so i used very little rubbing alcohol over it (it was already waxed)
and tried my Dr Color chip kit.
no matter what i tried. every time i used the sealact to remove the execess paint. i ended up removing it all.
so i decided to give up on DCC and look closer to see if its really a chip.
i tried running my fingernail over it. and it does not feel like a chip...so i tried a little clay...that didn't work...so i re-added a tiny bit of wax and thought better to stop and ask here.

is there a different cleaner i should try to get this out?
or did i not remove enough wax for DCC to work...

thanks

try leaving the DCC on overnight then when you remove it work very slowly. I actually prefer to adda little mineral spirits to the sealact it makes removal of excess much faster with very, very light rubbing. Adding mineral spirits was a tip I got from someone at DCC.

i might try that. but i was thinking it might not be a chip...
would something like scratch X 2.0 be worth a shot here?

So when you pass your fingernail over it you don't feel any difference at all?

If it's not a chip then yes you can give scratchx a shot.

Pictures would definitely help :)

ok so here is a better picture.

when i got home today. i tried meguires smooth clay for a few minutes..didnt do anything..

i even tried a very tiny bit of scratch X 2.0...nothing

It seems almost under the clear coat. it doesnt appear to be a chip at all...just strange that i've never noticed it before....and its not my first time hand washing this car...

very strange.
any suggestions ?

thanks
