Ok, long time lurker, first time poster. Actually, just lurking about since buying my new SUV, a 2017 Lincoln MKX.
Anyway, wanting to keep it pristine, so I figured this would be the place to ask my first of many questions.
Wheel cleaner: I keep the car in a garage, so it stays pretty clean. I would like some recommendations on a spray on wipe off wheel cleaner. Obviously, the wheels are factory clear coated. Can any quick spray detailer be used? I waxed the car car once since purchase in late December, and continually spray and wipe with Lucas Slick Mist, which seems to work nicely. Can and should I use this on the wheels. It comes off pretty light and residue free.

Welcome to AG!

If you want to spray and wipe them with a quick detailer, that's fine so long as you do it frequently before you get to much build up of dust.

Many here like to use a waterless or rinseless wash diluted to a "quick detailer" ratio because it is more economical to use for such tasks.

It should be fine to add spray wax to the wheels. I would also clean them up well and add a coat of wax or sealant first, then maintain with a spray wax after the light cleaning.

Here is a before and after picture of my car this winter doing a rinseless wash. I 1st sprayed the car with M37 N-914 at WW strength and the finished with a RW. It was all I did to the wheels also and they are not coated even tho when I cleaned them before winter I did coat the tires with Tuf Shine coating and planned on doing the rims with WG coating I plain forgot. My car and summer rims are coated with WG Uber ceramic but just plain forgot to do the winter rims and will do before next winter. They clean up well and look good for being about eight years old.

You might already understand this, but since your wheels are factory clear coated, you can basically use the same products you would use on your vehicle's paint.

Ancient 1: Pretty, looks very nice!

Thanks, Ancient1, and that was going to be my next question. I live in the northeast, and wanted to know about the waterless wash products. Took my car through the drive through wash once and touch-less once, cringing the whole time, but had to get that caked salt and grime off. Luckily, no scratches and have a light colored car so all is well. Was just worried about the waterless wash products scratching as well.

I was thinking about that, but figured I'd ask the people who know better than me. Thanks so much.
