Hello,

I have a 2007 Dodge dually and ran over a spray piant can that exploded under the pressure of my tire and now it's all over the inside dual but on the outside face of the tire so you can see it.

I apparently do not have anything to get this paint off the tire. What are my options here to get this off? It's bright yellow paint as well so it is an eye sore.

Thanks in advance. I just made a pretty large order for the fall15 promotion but i'm sure i can add to it on Monday if something is recommended for this that i didn't get.

Well since you made an order all ready you can try the old stand by wesley tire cleaner which you can buy OTC at the local store. It's pretty strong and with some bushing it may fit your bill.

Steel wool and lacquer thinner. Don't pour the thinner on the tire, just wet the steel wool and scrub. When you done wash the tire real good with APC to get rid of the thinner.

Both good options guy's. I have the thinner and steel wool and the APC is on the way from AG so i am going to try it.

I will let you know how it turns out.

Any other options i will consider as well if you would like to post.

I would personally be a little hesitant to use thinner on rubber. Even 3M Wax and Adhesive Remover for which I use on paints and other areas would likely be to harsh on tires. Have you tried the APC with a wire brush or steel wool first ??

I don't have the APC yet, she's in the mail or will be Monday but I will try that. I have some other type of APC i used but with just a brush and not the steel wool. The steel wool is probably the ticket here anyway with the cleaner. I just wasn't thinking "steel wool" on tires originally.

I was expecting something different when I clicked on this thread. More like painting your tires black, not running over paint. Oh well. Good luck on getting it off. I think the APC and steel wool will do the job.

A couple people have tried and posted they've had good luck with this product,

Motsenbocker's LIFT OFF 4

MOTSENBOCKER'S LIFT OFF 4

It's states it's primarily for Rattle Can Spray Paint. It was less than $8.00 so it wouldn't be to expensive to test out. Next to it were some other products for the same purpose but the Lowe's salesperson said they've tried them all for use in the Lowe's store and the Motsenbockers worked the best.
