Hi all, I’m wondering what people’s opinions are for toppers with some filling ability?

I bought a used car last weekend and won’t have a chance to do a thorough correction until mid-August at earliest. In the meantime I’m just trying to band-aid a nice look with filler products (albeit very nice products). The car was bought with an old coating on it (I assume), and I washed with WG Uber SiO2 Wash. The glassy SiO2 look didn’t bode well with all the swirls on these long sunny days. The swirls just lit up. I then started playing around with toppers that I thought would make it look better in the short term.

These include: One coat Souveran Paste (still daw plenty of swirls but less reflective, more rich look helped a bit. Then 3 days later I did a coat of Souveran Spray Wax. This brought some reflectivity back and appeared to hide some swirls. Finally, I just popped on a coat of Pinnacle Crystal SiO2 to keep the synergy and to protect the black paint in the 100F+ heat index and to lessen the grass pollen collection. It looks really nice now, but I’ll get a second look tomorrow in the sun.

Anyways, Meg’s UQW comes to mind as a good filler topper from past experience. Any others that you AG people recommend? I’ve heard Reload recently, but it’s one of the few AG sprays I don’t own.

Thanks in advance!

Try laying down a glaze before your Wax A good glaze will fill a lot more than any LSP.

For the crowds that have been using BeadMaker, TW SNS and BSD... have any of you experienced noticeable filling from any of these? I recall BM and SNS experiences on some older paint for testing.

I haven't noticed any filling from Beadmaker, but I second the suggestion for Reload. I have used Elixr detail spray as well as made my own using Ech20 mixed with 2oz of Reload, and both products had filling abilities. I'd imagine Reload straight up would work pretty well.
