I recently purchased a 2016 Yukon XL (black) and intend to have Expel paint protection applied to a few areas. I planned to have it installed within the first two weeks, but it is taking longer than expected. I have applied paint sealant to the roof, rear hatch and all of the door jams as I will not apply Expel to these areas. I feel I need to have some protection until I get the Expel applied, so I'm going the easy route with spray wax.

Just to make me feel better, I'm going to apply two layers. Problem is I ran out of Megs after the first layer and now will need to use my back-up Turtle Wax Ice spray wax.

How long should I wait between adding another the TWI?

How long should I wait before the paint is exposed to water/rain?

I don't see a reason to wait to apply another coat of spray wax. I'm sure the first coat is already cured. As far as water exposure, my rule of thumb (mine, not something I read, I think) is 12 hours.
BTW, you know a Yukon isn't a Ford don't you? Im the MAN

Lol, I know. I'm a Ford junky, but when it comes to the full size SUV market, I think GM has the best product. This is my third Yukon XL Denali. If we are talking trucks, hands down Ford, in all size segments.
