Does anyone use spray wax/detailer when they are drying using the rinseless method? I cant see a problem and like to use UQW, but wanted to solicit some input...

I use a towel and blot dry every panel after I wash it.

No problem at all using this approach and you'll tend to leave a more uniform looking finish.

One thing I've noticed when spraying a spray wax onto a LOT of water still sitting on a car though is sometimes it breaks the surface tension and causes the water to run off quickly.

Not that this is a bad thing unless the water running off, into nooks and crannies you cannot reach is also taking the wax you just sprayed with it.

A better approach is to remove the majority of the water and then use the spray on wax for the final wipe down.

:)

Another option is to use a rinseless wash that already has carnauba wax built in, like Pinnacle Liquid Gloss Rinsless Wash with Carnauba or Optimum No Rinse Wash & Wax.

How To: Wash Your Car with 2 Gallons of Water – Pinnacle Style

Pinnacle Liquid Gloss Rinseless Wash with Carnauba builds upon the widely popular way of washing your car without utilizing a free-flowing source of water – the rinseless car wash. Pinnacle’s take on the rinseless car wash involves fusing real carnauba wax with lubricious polymers, enabling you to wax your car as you wash it.

Benefits of Pinnacle Liquid Gloss Rinseless Wash

  • Makes paint glossy
  • Adds real wax protection
  • Easy to use
  • Boosts the gloss and protection of your wax or sealant
  • Cost effective: one bottle will wash your car 32 times
  • Can be used in direct sunlight

I use d156 when i dry after rinseless.
I take a wringed out towel with rinseless solution to get the heavy water off first. Then i take another towel and spray the product onto the towel and wipe. Buff off the residue with the other side of the towel or use a fresh one.

I use Aquawax...it is what it was made for and works great!

I'm with Nick on this one. I won't use a rinseless product that requires a follow-up product or second step. Its all about touching the paint as few times as possible.

The Pinnacle product rocks...

I don't anymore, but I always used AW as I rinseless dried.
The extra step amounts to nothing more than a spritz.

I like to dry the car with a waffle towel (deosnt have to be perfectly dry) then mist on spray detailer and buff with a microfiber.

That's why I use DG 932, It is a rinseless with Aqua Wax built in. Best of both worlds and no extra steps.
