We finally had our first sunny spring weekend here in Seattle and there's nothing better in my book than a day spent in the sun cleaning my car. Ever since I started doing a foam bath pre-soak and rinsing with a pressure washer, before continuing with a normal hand wash, I have seen zero wash-induced swirls, marring, scratches etc.

All I had to do to get the car ready for two coats of Fuzion was go over the paint with one pass of the DA using a black pad and SF 4500, followed by CarPro Eraser to make sure the surface was perfect. Here's a few cell phone pictures I snapped off real quick before going cruising yesterday afternoon. This is a daily driver with nearly 100k miles on it!:xyxthumbs:

That's quite the testimony. I've lived in Seattle before and most of my life in Oregon, I know what road grime is as I'm sure you do to since this is a daily driver.

Road Grime - The oily, dirt film build-up on the exterior of your car that comes from all the motor oil, transmission fluid, Brake Fluid, Power Steering Fluid, Antifreeze and Coolant that builds up on the roads and then mixes with water when it rains, which is then sprayed onto your car by all the cars driving in front of you day-in, day-out.

A very non-evasive process for maintaining a show car shine.

Thanks for sharing and the paint on your car looks better than most cars that are newer, even brand new.

Thanks for the compliments, Mike. :xyxthumbs:

My neighbors look at me crazy every time they see me in the driveway cleaning the car. As you mentioned, the road grime is never-ending. I would love nothing more than to have a second vehicle for commuting.
