This new one will have 6800 OPMs, new switch, 6" Counter Weight, and its a pound heavier!

Hope that silver thing is plastic and not metal?

how are the specs compared to the flex, because i was thinking of getting one but might have to wait now. Thanks Meghan for the sneak peek.

It weighs one pound more, has .5 amps more power, and spins 800 OPM more?

I was thinking they would have given it a lot more power.

The Flex still has an advantage over this one. 6800 OPM / no forced rotation vs. 9600 OPM / 480rpm forced rotation.

I don't think I'd sell my PC to get one of these, but if I was in the market I would definitely take it over a 7424.

Looks good, only thing I'd do is take that side handle off, go outside and throw it as far as I could. Then get a 5/16 bolt and plug that hold so the plastic wouldn't rattle - like I did the 7424.

That is my reaction. I do not like side handles...it just amplifies any vibration.

Honestly. Depending on the price, I don't see it as a huge improvement over the original.

if it goes for around the same price give or take $10 than ofcourse I would get this instead of the 7424. But if the difference was greater than say $30 I would probably stick with the original. I don't think 800 opms and a few amps is worth more than $30-$40. I doubt those numbers will make a world of difference compared to say a flex.

Hopefully its in the 100-120 range.

I heard this was out there, wanting to test one , but they already had folks doing it for them.

I hear Bond will be using one in the new "spy" movie--it should be slick
