you can get steamers from almost every site it doesnt have to be a detailing brand

vx5000, but you can't get it from AG.

It will loosen caked on dirt, sanitize seats, break up stains. Shoot, steamers can be used for about anything inside the car or around the house.

HF sells one for just over 100 if you wanna try one or plan on giving it super light duty.

What level are you at with detailing? What do you plan on using one for the most? The ones AG sells are a great value. The newest offer that comes with a cart seems a little high in comparison to the
vx5000 but is probably worth it non the less.

I agree spend the money on a good one I have the vx5000 and worth every penny

I have a handheld/portable steamer (that's got quite a bit of power) that I use around the house and love. I've used it in the cars, too. Has a variety of attachments. The 'nozzle' attachment is great for blowing dust out of the vents in my car.

Doesn't have to be an 'auto detailing' steamer I'm sure! I think I got this one at Macy's for $50. Works great. Also works great to clean my counters, oven, etc. at home. Takes stains out of shirts, etc. Even use it on carpet in my living room to take out stains! I love having a steamer for the home. (I have a couple now, actually, for various purposes)

I have a Dupray Tosca and its pretty sweet. It gets the most use in the house but I've been extremely impressed with what it can do detailing related as well... especially wheels and carpets.

Sorry to bump this old thread but did not want to start another one my dad wants one and he will probably get the vx5000 he say he wants something that will last and and also be used for house stuff what is another model if he decides it is too much?

I have had them all.If you plan on using all day I would choose one with continuous refill . I've settled on two small units. The vapormare vapormax has 1700 watts of power and big enough to do one car for me. I also have gaia from myvapor clean.Being able to steam and vacuum at same time is awsome. The vacuum on this little machine is a beast.

What can the vx5000 get out or clean like stains and what other stuff and who is it made by?

Vapamore rocks...$300 for an awesome steamer...lifetime warranty...best customer service. Best purchase I've made in a very long time.

If you are looking for something affordable you might want to check out the McCulloch mc-1375. I believe this is a newer model and it looks like a nice lil steamer with 58 psi (max) pressure, 48oz capacity, heats up in 10 minutes and its only $159.99, Not bad.

The VX5000 is made in Italy I don't see any manufactures name on it anywhere. A steamer can be used for a lot of things, stain removal is one thing it does very well.
So far I've used it to clean the oven, grout lines, windows, carpet stains, wood flooring, shower and many other things around the house.
It's great for auto detailing to. ;)
I haven't had my VX very long and keep finding more uses for it.
There are many videos demonstrations of the VX and other steamers, do a search and grab some popcorn.
Believe me I watched many of them before making a decision to get a VX5000.

Bob :)
